I'm a sweet addict. I confess. I'm in therapy. (OK, not really). These bars are so easy, they are easy first. You know I like easy recipes. I don't have time for complicated things with a lot of stuff I can't afford. I'm a medical student because I shout loudly! The second thing I like is that they are not scattered and that they can stay in the refrigerator for a long time. They were marvelous alone or crushed with oatmeal, sweets, or coconut yogurt. Very tasty, chocolate and versatile!
1 C walnut
1 1/2 C dates
1 TB hot water
4 TB cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla
a pinch of salt

Heat water to a nearly boiled pot, then take it out of the stove and add dates. Let it get wet while preparing the nuts.
In a kitchen robot, turn the walnuts into a meal.
Add the dates to the kitchen robot with a tablespoon of hot water (after waiting for at least 5 minutes) and hot water. Add vanilla, cocoa and salt to the processor.
Process until smooth. Spoon on a small cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Spread on a large square of the desired thickness and keep in the refrigerator for a few hours until set. Divide into 10 squares and store in the refrigerator.
