Turmeric and garlic instant pot rice

Whoever understands the idea of ??cooking rice in the ready pot, you're a strange genius (thanks, internet. Sometimes you're the best). And this is a hit I make every week since my first attempt at the Turmeric and Garlic Instant Pot Rice!

If you're curious, I've tried to do a slow cooker version of that too, it didn't work. Do not recommend, over zero to 10.

I was lazy and impatient because the idea of ??this recipe was born. Sure, I like to cook, but I don't want to waste time waiting on the stove while waiting for the rice to be boiled. And no one had to wait for the water to boil, but then it didn't take a regular weekend to wait another 45 minutes to cook the rice. When I come home from coaching or working with clients all day, I don't want to cook for another hour. I want to eat. Or cook something quickly and then eat. And you know what I mean?

I've tried natural trials such as different rates, different cooking times, different rest periods / instant natural release in manual pot and manual quick release, and after probably doing it 20 times, I finally found the right formula.

The ratio of dry rice to water for Yasemin and Basmati rice is 1: 1. Every cup of dry rice means 1 cup of water.

Rinse off the rice (yes, I strongly recommend this step), add some oil to the pan, so that the non-stick, add spices and juice, and then release for 10 minutes naturally cook at HIGH pressure for 5 minutes.

Quick rice, to win.

How to use this turmeric rice Serve with Vegetarian Buddha Bowls or Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala! (Or really anything, honestly.)

Rinse the rice thoroughly in a thin strainer until the water flows. Shake off excess liquid in the rice.

Add the tablespoon of the melted oil to the bottom of the instant container. This helps prevent rice from sticking to the pan.

Add the rinsed rice into the instant container. Sprinkle with turmeric, garlic powder and sea salt on rice, then add 1 cup of filtered water. Make a shake in the pot so that the rice is in a layer.

Place the top on the instant container, close the lid and set your ready container to 6 minutes in the MANUAL. When the timer is turned off, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes (let alone for 10 minutes!).
